Community Action Suffolk will be out and about across Suffolk in early 2014, running 103 volunteering surgeries. Maybe one of your New Year’s resolutions will be to give something back to your community, donate your time to help others or you’re looking for a new personal challenge? These surgeries will give you the chance to have a friendly chat with one of our volunteering officers and find out what it’s all about.
Volunteering offers you the chance to use your skills, develop new ones, make friends, have fun, be more active, the list of benefits is endless. There are lots of opportunities out there, whether you have just one day a year free or a couple of hours a week. You may want to make a difference to the elderly or young, to help at events or with sports, there really is something for everyone. Community Action Suffolk has worked with a wide range of opportunities, from Olympic Games Makers to monitoring ducks in your local park!
Community Action Suffolk has four Volunteering Field Officers covering Suffolk, who are available to meet you and talk through your volunteering choices.
Attendance at the surgeries is by appointment only, which can be made by contacting 01473 261116 or [email protected]
