Voluntary organisations in Haverhill will benefit from free training courses delivered by Community Action Suffolk (CAS), following £1,000 of funding from the One Haverhill Partnership.
The courses, “Project Planning” and “Writing a Good Funding Application” will be delivered in late March 2017. They will develop the skills of organisations in Haverhill, improving their own opportunities as well as those of the local communities they serve.
Jon Eaton, VCSE Locality Officer at CAS, who will deliver the courses, said:
“We’re grateful to the One Haverhill Partnership for this funding, through their Haverhill Community Grants. I’m looking forward to bringing these courses to organisations in Haverhill and meeting more of the local community.
“The Project Planning course will enable organisations to prepare properly, prioritise delivery and evaluate the success of a project. The funding course will teach organisations how to correctly submit a funding application and provide examples of what to include, giving the best chance of receiving some money.”
A spokesman for the ONE Haverhill Partnership grant panel said:
“We were delighted to support Community Action Suffolk with their plans to offer free training courses to voluntary organisations in Haverhill.”
If your organisation is based in Haverhill, or provides services to the people of Haverhill, then you are eligible to apply for the courses. Please contact Jon Eaton for information on 07775 907828 or [email protected].
