CAS has recently worked with Woodbridge based community interest company (CIC), Jetty Lane, to prepare a business plan which has now successfully been presented to Suffolk County Council to secure a new £1.5 million youth and arts space.
Sabrina Ward, Business Support Officer at CAS, supported Jetty Lane to prepare the Business Plan across six weeks of board meetings, emails and planning.
Jetty Lane CIC is made up of a number of organisations all looking for a permanent home within Woodbridge, including the Just 42 youth charity, Woodbridge Scouts and various art studios. The team had a lot of knowledge about what each individual group needed but that information, along with project costing, plans and fundraising strategy, needed to be pulled together in order for Suffolk County Council to consider giving the green light.
Cordelia Richman from Jetty Lane CIC said:
“We’re a newly set-up community interest company and we employed Sabrina to help us put together a Business Plan. Over several meetings she was prompt and punctual, worked at times to suit us, was firm and direct when she needed to be! She focused us on making sure we achieved our aims and was always most helpful and pleasant to be with. We have no hesitation in recommending her.”
