An experienced voluntary sector director has been appointed to a newly created role at Community Action Suffolk.
Hannah Reid, who has been part of the organisation for five years, will now support membership organisations from the role of director of innovation and business development.
With a wealth of experience across the sector, and in particular in engagement activity with both public and private businesses, she will lead on CAS’s trading subsidiaries and set strategy for sustainable income streams.
“I am so pleased to be taking on this role and to be continuing my work within such a vibrant sector,” said Hannah.
“My role is very much about ensuring we can continue to support the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector in this county for years to come, so it’s imperative we’re constantly looking at ways in which CAS can assist their journey, through innovation, continual learning, and solid business development which is based on best practice.”
Hannah’s appointment to the new role follows the recent announcement that Community Action Suffolk has appointed Christine Abraham as its new CEO.
In a typical year, the organisation supports some 2000 voluntary sector bodies, community groups and social enterprises.
Hannah added: “With my new role now commencing, I welcome the opportunity to meet with more businesses and professional bodies who wish to explore their relationship with CAS, or with members who are interested in gaining a firmer understanding about our trading subsidiaries.”
