Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. The Charity Commission also makes it clear that safeguarding is a key governance issue for charities to comply with.
However, compliance with legislation is often not the main reason people attend training or want to learn more; they do it because they want to stop abuse. The resources below could help.
We offer a 2.5 hours Introduction to safeguarding course that covers both children and Adults at Risk of harm. It is suitable for anyone new to safeguarding as well as those who need a refresher.
We also offer a 2.5 hour Designated Safeguarding leads: Referrals what happens next? training. Ideal for Safeguarding Leads and Safeguarding Trustees.

Training
All those working with children, young people and adults at risk must have the appropriate level of training according to their role. View a range of resources including Me Learning, online.
The new East of England Learning Platform is free and open to all professionals and provides a range of learning and informative sessions developed in collaboration with partners across the East Region.
Training Thursdays – a range of safeguarding topics and issues are delivered on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 12.30 to 13.30.
This training takes about 45 minutes to complete.
Prevent is about safeguarding individuals from being drawn into terrorism, ensuring those vulnerable to extremist and terrorist narratives are given appropriate advice and support at an early stage. Prevent is no different to any other form of safeguarding from harm.
