Our complete Volunteer Leadership course package will be held over 3 sessions: Tuesday 11th February 09:30 – 13:30, Tuesday 25th February 09:30 – 12:30, and Tuesday 11th March 09:30 – 12:30. All sessions must be attended to complete the course and receive certification. Please check the dates before booking as this is offered at a reduced cost and is non-refundable.

We are pleased to be offering the full ‘Volunteer Leadership’ in 2025 as an online ‘package’.
In response to feedback from volunteer leaders, we are piloting this package over a shorter period of time. The 3 sessions over 6 weeks (1 session every 2 weeks), enables all in attendance to benefit quicker from this course’s content and resources provided. This package is made up of the 3 courses that we run on a 6-montly basis.
Please note, this course has a minimum number of candidates needed to run it. If this number is not reached all registered will be offered a new package of dates or a full refund if this has to be moved for this reason.

This package offers a full range of skills to help you successfully manage volunteers within your organisation. It is suitable for both new and existing volunteer coordinators.

Part 1: Volunteer Journey: Plan, Include, Support, Celebrate: how to plan for, attract and retain volunteers within your organisation (9:30-1:30)
Part 2: Volunteers and the law: To have a better understanding of the legal aspects around recruiting and managing volunteers within your Organisation (9:30-12:30)
Part 3: Dealing with Challenging situations: How to deal with conflict and challenging situations involving volunteers. (9:30-12:30)

By the end of the course / Course Aims / Questions you will be able to answer

• Come away with a road map of how to successfully plan and manage volunteering within your organisation

Meet the trainer
Kerry Overton is our Training and Learning Officer from the volunteering team at CAS, and will be your course facilitator for each session. Kerry has experience in volunteer leadership and continues to enjoy volunteering in a number of roles. This has enabled her to deliver training with a holistic understanding of this ever-changing environment.
