Well, no-one really knows… but Community Action Suffolk is aiming to find out and you can help us!
In a world where figures often feel like they hold the answers to many questions, we are coming to you to ask for your help. We would like to show funders and people who hold decision making positions the strength and breadth of volunteers across Suffolk.
We all know that volunteers in all your own organisations make the world of difference, however what we have never been truly able to do, is have a figure for the level of volunteering in the county. We are not interested in the number of hours, but more in the number of people.
What is a volunteer?
We see a volunteer as someone who has freely given up their time to undertake a task or a role within your organisation that helps make your organisation function. This could be someone helping a few hours a week to do some admin work, someone who comes an hour a week to cut the grass or someone who has just helped you once, maybe at an event? No role is too small!
What is an active volunteer?
We simply mean a volunteer who has participated with your organisation the last 12 months, and this might only have been for a few hours, but that counts!
So here is how you can help us, help you
Simply complete the quick form below and tell us about the number of active volunteers involved in your organisation in the last 12 months.
Thank you!
Thank you so much for taking the time to help us with this. We will share the information with you so that you can also have a countywide view of the fantastic work of volunteers.
If you have any questions, or would prefer to email us your response, please email us at [email protected]
The deadline for this information is Friday 22nd May 2015.
