Suffolk Youth Charter – Quality Assurance

Community Action Suffolk and Suffolk County Council have developed the Suffolk Youth Charter with the aim to celebrate the work organisations undertake in contributing to the progress, learning and development of young people in Suffolk.

The Suffolk Youth Charter is a statement of intent by an organisation, demonstrating that it is committed to working together with young people and to the continual development and improvement of its service for young children and young people.

It also provides a platform to showcase the work they undertake in contributing to the progress, learning and development of young people.

  • The Suffolk Youth Charter comprises a simple set of statements that your organisation can commit to and display
  • The Suffolk Youth Charter has a useful development tool to support you with embedding the Youth Charter in your organisation
  • CAS members also get access to additional resources and information with the Youth Charter
  • This is also a requirement of the CYP safeguarding element of the Community Action Suffolk Quality Standard

The Suffolk Youth Charter

  • We are committed to the young people participating in our service and to improving the quality of their participation and experience.

Who is it for?

It is suitable for voluntary and community groups including Community Interest Companies CICs, Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs), Trusts, Charities, village halls, sports clubs and other Community groups working with young people. You do not have to be a Community Action Suffolk member to commit to the Charter.
