Moving stories and outstanding achievements of adult learners, tutors and volunteers in Suffolk were recognised at the Suffolk Adult Learners’ Awards, held at University Campus Suffolk (UCS) on Thursday 18 June 2015.
Leap joined forces with the Suffolk Partnership for Informal Adult Learning (SPIAL) to organise the ceremony in celebration of National Adult Learners Week.
Melanie Chew, Chief Executive of Community Action Suffolk, attended the ceremony and said, “I was delighted to attend the awards ceremony for adult learners at UCS, together with Julia (Miller), as CAS had sponsored an award there. Reco, the young man in the photo won the Inspirational Learner of the Year award, together with the overall learner award, and his story of personal development was truly inspiring to all of us in the room.”
