Every year, over 4,000 people in Haverhill will experience mental ill health; yet only a quarter will seek and receive treatment.
To encourage positive action and discussion amongst local people, Community Action Suffolk and local agencies are co-ordinating a drop-in event at the Burton Centre (next door to Haverhill Library) on Friday 11th October 2013 between 10.00a.m. and 2.00p.m..
St. Nicholas Hospice, Livewell Suffolk, Healthwatch, Community Action Suffolk and Sue Ryder are amongst the local organisations at this friendly event who will offer support, advice and the chance to chat about mental health.
The event is part of Suffolk Health & Well being month, a campaign running throughout October which includes a range of healthy lifestyle and mental health events around the county.
